Job Title: Mobile Applications Manager

Join our team as a Mobile Applications Manager and take on a pivotal role as the Service Owner for our Mobile Apps in the Retirement Solutions business. As a key member of our Digital domain, you will lead the development and implementation of mobile applications for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the mobile development team, ensuring best practices and high coding standards are maintained.
  • Lead the design and architecture of mobile applications, making informed decisions on technology stack and ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Apply industry best practice and prior experience to define opportunities to increase delivery velocity, app security, and operational excellence.
  • Hands-on development using Xamarin, MAUI or React Native, ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Work with Product Manager, Technical Analysts, developers, Testers to identify and scope technical requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mobile applications.
  • Mentor and guide developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Keep up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mobile application development.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in software development, with at least 3-5 years focused on mobile development.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling mobile apps in fast-paced environments, particularly in industries such as SaaS, fintech, or other industries with high transaction requirements.
  • Matrix management experience along with some leadership capabilities.
  • Experience with both native and cross-platform mobile development frameworks, as well as cloud-based mobile backends.
  • Proven experience as a Mobile Application Developer with a focus on Xamarin, MAUI, or React Native.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with mobile app development, Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines), Xamarin, Maui.
  • Ability to engage with client teams and gain a strong understanding of their development requirements and interpret into exceptional solutions.
  • Proficiency and passion for creating seamless and engaging user experience.
  • Possesses an innate passion for software development and quality, with the ability to think creatively.
  • Experience in solving platform specific challenges for both IOS and Android.
  • Experience integrating mobile application with back-end services will be highly regarded.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching team members.
