
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Support Professional

The Cultural Support Coordinator will work closely with children, young people, and families from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds to develop and implement culturally appropriate support plans.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including children, young people, families, and community groups.
- Develop and deliver cultural support plans in partnership with children, young people, and a multidisciplinary team.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure implementation of C&YP identified goals within their cultural support plan.
- Ensure that any risk associated with implementing or delivering goals is communicated to the appropriate manager.
- Proactively work to ensure 100% compliance with cultural support plans.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals, families, and communities from a strength-based, culturally appropriate perspective.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Science, Community Development, Social Work, or related discipline.
- Extensive knowledge of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities in contemporary society.

Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the development and delivery of cultural support plans for children and young people in out-of-home care.
- Work with other relevant stakeholders to ensure that the C&YP identified goals within their cultural support plan are implemented.
