Job Overview

As a Duty Trader, you will be responsible for managing daily operations within the integrated portfolio of gas, electricity, and financial products. You will work closely with the Shell Energy Spot Trading team to develop expertise in gas trading and power generation assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage long-term gas contract scheduling and optimization
  • Negotiate gas sales and purchase terms
  • Schedule power dispatch into NEM and WEM
  • Analyze market data to inform strategy
  • Interpret gas sales and purchase contracts

You will also prepare data for compliance and regulatory submissions, improve processes through analytics and data management, interact with customers, partners, and pipeline operators for scheduling, and engage with the Wallumbilla Gas Supply Hub and regulated markets like STTM and DWGM.
