Portfolio Coordinator Job Description

As a Portfolio Coordinator, you will play a vital role in connecting a more sustainable energy future for more than five million Queenslanders and 253,000 businesses. You will work collaboratively with program and project managers to deliver projects and provide governance and status reports to boards, stakeholders, and management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting senior portfolio analysts in delivering high-quality portfolio management services, assisting with commercial, financial, and resource coordination activities.
  • Managing small IT initiatives, tasks, or projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.
  • Providing advice and support on IT project delivery frameworks and associated deliverables.
  • Collecting, collating, and distributing portfolio, program, and project management reporting data.

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of finance, business administration, or experience in multi-project management, planning, scheduling, cash flow monitoring, forecasting, and reporting within a project delivery environment. A diploma in project management is desirable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel is essential, as well as an understanding of PMI standards (PMBOK, Risk Management, and Program Management Standards). Above all else, you must value collaboration, innovation, and mature problem-solving skills.
