We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our Engine Department on a 24/7 transhipment vessel operating in Cape Preston, Western Australia.

About the Position

The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery and electrical equipment onboard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of Engineering Officers while ensuring adherence to Company procedures and budgets;
  • Safeguard the interests of the ship's crew and company at all times;
  • Assist the Chief Officer in the operation of the ship's cargo equipment;
  • Maintain accurate records of bunker, lubricating oils, and sludge transfers that may affect the ship's trim, stress, and stability;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A Marine Order 72 – Engineer class 1 qualification;
  • A minimum of 12 months' sea time as a First Engineer;
  • Certificate of Safety Training (STCW III/2) and Work Safely at Heights Certification are desirable but not required;
  • A Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC);
  • Australian citizenship or unlimited Australian working rights;
  • Living in Australia;
  • The ability to wear a respirator comfortably;
