About the Position:

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery and electrical equipment onboard.

Responsibilities include supervising engineering officers, safeguarding our interests, and assisting in the operation of cargo equipment.

About You:

  • Educational requirement: A certificate in marine engineering or a related field as per AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer class 1 (required)
  • Minimum 12 months sea time as a First Engineer (required)
  • Certificate of Safety Training (STCW III/2) (desirable)
  • Work Safely at Heights Certification (desirable)
  • Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification (desirable)
  • Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (required)
  • Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian working rights
