
The Ultimate Shipboard Maintenance Role

The position of the Engine Watchkeeper is a critical role within our operations, responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the ship's engine and mechanical equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the operational capabilities of the engine room, performing regular rounds and maintenance tasks as required by the Chief Engineer.
In addition to these duties, the Engine Watchkeeper will also be responsible for:
- Maintaining propulsion, auxiliary, and ancillary machinery to ensure efficient operation of the vessel and in accordance with PMS requirements.
- Maintaining Self-Unloading machinery and equipment to ensure efficient operation and in accordance with PMS requirements.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant experience and certifications, including AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer Class 3.
- At least 36 weeks of sea service on vessels with propulsion power ≥750 kilowatts.
Australian citizenship or unlimited working rights are essential requirements. Additionally, the ideal candidate must be willing to wear personal protective equipment.
