As a Workshop Operations Coordinator, you play a pivotal part in streamlining production workflows and ensuring high-quality outputs within our dynamic workshop environment. This role is ideal for someone who excels in structured team settings and takes pride in precision and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, finalize, and distribute comprehensive production plans to relevant stakeholders.
- Create and manage production schedules to optimize workflow efficiency and resource utilization.
- Provide customers with clear and timely daily and weekly progress updates.
- Collaborate with workshop teams to guarantee tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain up-to-date records of maintenance, repairs, and scheduled servicing activities.
- Evaluate production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify process bottlenecks and recommend actionable solutions to enhance productivity.
- Prepare variation bills of materials and cost estimates as required for scope changes.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you must be a qualified mechanical tradesperson with a solid foundation in workshop planning and coordination. Your hands-on experience in scheduling and workflow management should be backed by a deep understanding of maintenance operations and inventory control. You are also highly organized, analytical, and thrive on solving problems with precision and creativity. Your advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project enable you to turn data into actionable tasks and keep projects on track.
