About the role

Our Ironbark No 1 operation is on the hunt for a dedicated Diesel Workshop Coordinator. The role will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our diesel fleet and ancillary equipment. This role will be pivotal in ensuring out machinery stays in peak condition to support day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide leadership including coaching and development to a multi-disciplinary mobile maintenance team in an engaging work environment
  • Enable the team to deliver high quality mobile maintenance services aligned to the mine production objectives
  • Manage the scheduled maintenance activity, major works and unscheduled/breakdown maintenance requirements
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, cost awareness and a zero-harm safe work environment.
  • Support effective internal and external stakeholder relationships to enable best business outcomes.
  • Any other duty or responsibility as directed by the direct supervisor or upline management

About You

  • 3 + years' experience leading teams of mechanical trades (diesel fitting, auto electrical & fabrication) & support staff in workshop & underground environments.
  • OEM knowledge of underground diesel equipment in a supervisory role or 5 + years of working exclusively on diesel equipment for use in the underground coal environment with exposure to coordinator level management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of reliability processes & requirements for mobile fleet.
  • Understanding of planning, scheduling & work management requirements for a mobile fleet using Pulse or similar system.
  • Awareness of Australian Standards & Statutory requirements.
  • Mechanical and Auto-electrical knowledge of underground mobile fleets & maintenance requirements.
  • Understanding of the Queensland Coal Mining legislation and regulations with particular attention to the requirements for underground diesel equipment.
