Bookkeeper Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our administrative staff. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Record daily financial transactions and complete the reconciliation process.
  • Verify that transactions are recorded correctly in the practice management system and Xero.
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Proven bookkeeping experience in healthcare, preferably in a dental setting.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Data entry skills and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
  • Proficiency in English and MS Office.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is a plus.
