Key Roles and Responsibilities

This role involves acting as an empowered negotiator, a confident trader, and a system optimizer. As an Associate Marketplace Director, the key roles and responsibilities include:

  • Actioning the overall delivery of high-quality media investment plans, supported by a talented team of investment planners.
  • Coaching managers regularly to deliver their work to a high standard and in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the team is using all marketplace endorsed media planning and reporting tools.
  • Ability to interpret relevant data sources to build insights that lead to optimized channel thinking.
  • Being a trusted advisor to clients at both senior and junior levels.
  • Demonstrating a clear understanding of the client's category.
  • Responding to clients and media owners in a timely manner, consistently managing expectations.
  • Delivering all forecasts to the Group Marketplace Director, and assisting in the delivery of all contractual and commercial requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A strong background in investment media planning and buying, with the ability to utilize all tools and confidently train and develop others.
  • Leadership qualities, including the high energy required to inspire and motivate the immediate and broader team.
  • The ability to persuasively present and articulate to external stakeholders the functions and principles critical to the MediaCom Marketplace agenda.
  • Knowledge of offline media channels and tools.
  • Experience in planning and buying within media agencies.
