About the Role

This 12-month contract position involves working closely with a client-facing advisory team, providing exceptional support and ensuring seamless transactions for private clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wealth management, ideally with experience in equity markets operations or as a desk assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise between dealing desks, internal departments, external organisations, service agents, and clients.
  • Answer incoming client calls and respond to email queries promptly.
  • Taking and placing orders efficiently.
  • Manage bulk trades effectively.
  • Prepare and collate essential information prior to client meetings, including financial reports, portfolio performance, stock recommendations, and research.
  • Monitor and liaise with advisers on failed settlements, providing daily reports.
  • Assist with settlement queries and corporate actions.
  • Post-client meetings, work with advisers to delegate action points and ensure completion.
  • Provide post-meeting emails to keep clients updated.
  • Quote market prices for indices, shares, and options.
  • Manage upcoming corporate actions, floats, IPOs, and liaise with advisers on details, timelines, and participation.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in equity operations, client services, or prior desk/advisor assistant experience within the stockbroking/wealth management industry.
  • Tertiary degree – Bachelor's Degree or higher – within a related discipline.
  • RG 146 qualification – if not held already, requirement to study towards.
  • AML/KYC experience, along with strong MS Office skills.
  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills, both written and spoken, when interacting with HNW clients.
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines within a team.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
