Design Studio Specialist

We are seeking a talented and experienced Homewares Design Consultant to join our dynamic team at Williams Sonoma Inc. in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.

About the Role

This is a permanent, part-time position offering 40 hours per fortnight with a fixed two-week rotating roster. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences through your expertise in design and homewares.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create bespoke design solutions for customers, leveraging your knowledge of interior design principles and product offerings.
  • Presentation, consultation, and sales skills are essential to succeed in this role. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle to recommend tailored product solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support to customers throughout their shopping journey, ensuring seamless delivery and setup of their purchases.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers, including regular communication about new product arrivals, promotions, and decorating classes.
  • Liaise with colleagues to resolve complex customer concerns and contribute to creating an exceptional shopping environment.
Requirements
  • A minimum of $60,000 per annum, depending on experience, with opportunities for career growth and professional development within our company.
  • Experience in design and a passion for homewares, combined with strong client engagement skills and retail sales experience preferably in visual merchandising, specialty retail, and/or homewares.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with customers from diverse backgrounds and build lasting relationships.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and adaptability skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and meeting sales targets.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team, with a strong sense of initiative and autonomy.
