Cultural Workforce Development Specialist

This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the workforce and better reflecting the perspectives of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities we serve.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop regional coordination and implementation strategies for cultural programs and initiatives that cater to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
- Identify and access resources, expertise, and community connections to support effective practice and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Aboriginal community, to successfully implement programs and achieve objectives.
- Provide critical input to senior management on addressing over-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people in custody, and contribute to the development of strategic plans and priorities.
- Coordinate the Aboriginal Regional Advisory Committee (ARAC) and facilitate workshops to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
- Stay up-to-date with evidence-based best practices and identify opportunities for implementation across regions.
