Key Responsibilities

As a Credit and Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for the daily management of dishonors, arrears, and defaults. You will proactively manage overdue accounts, repayment plans, and credit terms, and maintain and update customer payment and credit records.

You will also be responsible for liaising with external legal teams to manage the legal collections and credit enforcement process, and conducting credit assessments and recommending appropriate actions based on customer profiles.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including legal teams and credit bureaus, and preparing and presenting detailed daily reports on arrears, credit status, and collections performance.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have 2+ years of experience in a similar role in credit and collections, particularly within residential and/or commercial property finance, with a focus on arrears, hardships, and credit management.

You will also need to have strong experience in credit assessments and collections processes, exceptional negotiation and communication skills, and a strong focus on customer service and relationship management.

Other requirements include strong analytical skills with a high degree of numeracy, demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, and ability to work as part of a team, excellent organizational and time management skills, and a high attention to detail, particularly in managing credit records and assessments.

You will also need to be able to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism, and have a high standard of ethics and integrity.
