Job Title: Credit and Collections Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit and Collections Specialist to join our team at Profusion Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing arrears, defaults, and credit matters for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily dishonors, arrears, and defaults, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing risk.
  • Proactively manage overdue accounts, repayment plans, and credit terms to maintain a positive customer experience.
  • Communicate effectively with customers via phone, email, and SMS to resolve credit matters and ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain and update customer payment and credit records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with external legal teams to manage the legal collections and credit enforcement process, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Assist with pre- and post-enforcement proceedings, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Conduct credit assessments and recommend appropriate actions based on customer profiles, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including legal teams and credit bureaus, to maintain a positive and collaborative environment.
  • Prepare and present detailed daily reports on arrears, credit status, and collections performance, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct hindsight reviews of mortgagee-in-possession loans and credit approvals, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Assess and manage borrower hardship applications, providing empathetic and professional support.
  • Provide training, support, and ongoing development to the collections and credit team, ensuring continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Proactively seek positive outcomes on accounts, reducing arrears and minimizing risk, while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role in credit and collections, particularly within residential and/or commercial property finance, with a focus on arrears, hardships, and credit management.
  • Full Australian working rights, with a strong understanding of local regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong experience in credit assessments and collections processes, with a proven track record of success.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • A strong focus on customer service and relationship management, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high degree of numeracy, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, and ability to work as part of a team, with a collaborative and supportive approach.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in managing credit records and assessments, with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain professionalism, with a calm and composed demeanor.
  • A high standard of ethics and integrity, with a strong commitment to fairness and transparency.
