Mental Health Clinician, Community Allied Health Position

This role involves providing comprehensive strengths-based and recovery-focused assessments with consumers and the formulation of time-limited packages of care signed off by consumers and their caregivers. These packages will detail the clinical mental health services and other wraparound supports to be provided.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team, providing mental health services to consumers in a community setting. The role requires a commitment to a consumer-focused recovery-oriented approach and consumer collaboration in care planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing mental health assessments and treatment plans for consumers
  • Formulating time-limited packages of care with consumers and their caregivers
  • Working in a multi-disciplinary team to provide mental health services
  • Collaborating with consumers and their caregivers to achieve recovery-oriented goals

Requirements:

  • Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award
  • Current full registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Demonstrated experience in the mental health assessment, treatment, and management of persons with a mental illness in a community setting
  • Demonstrated commitment to a consumer-focused recovery-oriented approach and consumer collaboration in care planning
