Weekend Physiotherapist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated physiotherapist to join our team on a part-time basis, working exclusively weekends to provide essential continuity of care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and effective physiotherapy management (assessment and treatment) of patients referred within the scope of the Rehabilitation, Aged Care and Palliative Care division physiotherapy services, including hydrotherapy.
  • Gain experience across clinical areas by participating in physiotherapy roster rotations within the Physiotherapy Department, hospital and community.
  • Assist in education of patients, staff and public by preparing and presenting education programmes.
  • Participate in provision of co-ordinated healthcare by liaising with medical, nursing and other professional staff regarding patient care in meetings, ward rounds, clinics and providing written reports or other communications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively, including supervising physiotherapy students and assistants.
  • Availability to work weekends only.
  • Empathy and ability to work with a range of patient ages and conditions, with the ability to act responsibly in emergency situations.
  • Capable of meeting job demands, with the ability to competently undertake pool rescue protocol per RGH procedures.
  • General postgraduate experience in acute Physiotherapy care in hospital or sub-acute rehabilitation.
