Job Title: Speech Pathology Team Manager

The primary role of a Speech Pathology Team Manager involves leading and guiding a team of Speech Pathologists in delivering exceptional services to clients with diverse conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Speech Support: Provide support to clients to articulate themselves clearly and be understood.
  • Language Support: Assist individuals who struggle with expressing their thoughts and ideas into coherent sentences or need support with reading and writing.
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication: Offer devices for individuals with complex communication needs.
  • Social Skills Support: Help individuals improve their understanding of social interaction rules and awareness of body language, facial expressions, and voice tone.
  • Stuttering Management: Offer strategies to help individuals manage smooth speech delivery and increase confidence.
  • Voice Support: Provide exercises to optimize voice quality and develop healthy vocal habits.
  • Client Variety: Work with adults and children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental delays, Stutters, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual disabilities, Cleft Palate, Voice disorders, and Swallowing difficulties.
  • Team Management: Clinical and Staff Support Duties - Supporting new graduates, seeing complex clients, supervising students, and providing opportunities for new grads to observe and learn from experienced Speech Paths.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to clinical practice guidelines, implement and maintain clinical guidelines, ensure NDIS quality and practice guidelines are met, and manage KPIs for staff performance.
