We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team at IHG Hotels & Resorts. Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Analysis and Planning

Develop and implement financial analysis, data trends, and market information to anticipate needs, identify operating/financial issues, and recommend actions to maximize financial returns.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Create the annual operating budget for the property and provide analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost-saving and productivity improvement opportunities for department heads.

Capital Project Analysis

Analyze ROI for capital projects and present to stakeholders for review and approval.

Cash Flow Management

Maximize cash flow performance of the hotel through controls on inventory, credit, and collection, disbursements, deposits, and remittances.

Financial Reporting

Prepare financial statements and forecasts for the hotel.

Team Management

Manage day-to-day activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance.

Training and Development

Educate, train, and motivate finance and accounting teams to achieve hotel revenue goals. Ensure employees have the information, market data, tools, and equipment to successfully carry out job duties. Provide direction to hotel employees on how decision-making impacts profits and help improve the financial acumen of non-finance employees.

Collaboration and Communication

Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with key department heads and collaboration with peers at other IHG properties.

Guest Satisfaction

Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.

Accounting Practices

Ensure accounting practices support the guest experience through payment options, inventory controls, and financial dispute resolution.

Compliance and Risk Management

Implement and maintain acceptable accounting practices as required by company policy and procedures. Develop and implement financial control procedures and systems; maintain records for internal and external audits; ensure compliance with government regulations and contractual agreements.

Contract Management

Manage hotel contracts such as vendor leases and service contracts.

Requirements
  1. Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.

Experience

4-8 years' experience in Hotel accounting or audit with at least 1 year as a Manager of Finance & Business Support or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Professional Designations

Professional accounting or finance designation or certification such as CPA or ICA preferred.

Skills and Qualifications

Knowledge of accounting fundamentals and taxation; experience performing asset management duties; providing business projections well regarded. Strong leadership, team player, excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills, and ability to work collaboratively and champion change.
