Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Account Relationship Manager to join our team. This role will play a critical part in driving sales growth and revenue expansion for key pet specialty accounts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, negotiating contracts, and executing strategic plans to maximize mutual growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key national retail accounts, including pet food stores and e-commerce platforms.
    • Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth
    • Achieve and exceed annual sales and margin targets through effective negotiation and promotional planning.
    • Develop tailored business plans for each account, aligned with customer and company objectives.
  • Planning & Forecasting
    • Lead accurate demand forecasting and promotional planning for each account, ensuring stock availability and fulfillment.
    • Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory management and meet customer demands.
  • Negotiation & Commercial Terms
    • Negotiate pricing, trading terms, and promotional investments to drive mutual growth and profitability.
    • Monitor trade spend and ensure ROI on promotional activities, maximizing budget efficiency.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting
    • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer data to inform business decisions.
    • Prepare regular performance reviews and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with marketing teams to execute consumer campaigns and product launches, driving brand awareness and sales growth.
    Requirements
    • 3-7+ years of experience in FMCG sales, account management, or commercial roles.
    • Proven success managing large key accounts and alternative channel accounts.
