Ventia is seeking a highly skilled Safety and Compliance Specialist to join their team working across the Smart Link Alliance contract.
This is a full-time permanent role working across a rotating roster out of our office. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and governing SHEQ programs, processes, and systems into the project while driving consistency in line with business and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the implementation of Safety Management Plans across the project.
- Ensure risk assessment and risk registers are developed and maintained.
- Embed the Ventia Critical Risk Protocols in the project.
- Review and seek improvements to SHEQ through personal example and behaviors.
- Promote the participation of all people in achieving a safe workplace with zero impact on the environment.
- Meet Tf NSW Specification quality requirements.
- Support supervisors in conducting toolbox talks and safety shares.
- Undertake SWMS and risk assessments on complex construction tasks.
- Ability to work a rotating roster (2 weeks day shift, followed by 2 weeks night shift).
- Previous experience in the construction industry.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
- Current first aid certificate.
- Current driver's license.
