We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Officer to join our team in Karratha. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises and all individuals on site.

Your primary responsibilities will include patrolling large areas, serving as part of an Initial Response Team and responding to emergencies, providing surveillance and de-escalating incidents, performing drug and alcohol tests, and providing customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors.

  • Patrol large areas to detect and prevent potential security threats
  • Serve as part of an Initial Response Team and respond to emergencies, assist paramedics if necessary
  • Provide surveillance and de-escalate incidents to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Perform drug and alcohol tests to ensure compliance with company policies
  • Provide customer service by assisting staff, visitors, and contractors
About the Role

This is a varied role that requires a high level of physical fitness, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to think critically and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A Western Australian Driver's Licence
  • A Western Australian Security License - Static Guard/Crowd Control
  • A Certificate II Security Operations
  • CPR certification within the last year
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of physical fitness and ability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
