Senior Leader in Operational Risk

Macquarie, a global financial services group operating in 34 markets, is seeking a Senior Leader in Operational Risk to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive frameworks for technology risk.

This role involves partnering with first-line teams to embed robust risk management practices, promoting high control standards, and challenging exposures related to technology risk. The successful candidate will deliver actionable insights, support the business in managing emerging risks, and enhance reporting mechanisms to identify vulnerabilities and drive risk reduction.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven leadership experience in Technology risk management.
  • A strong background in developing and implementing Technology risk management frameworks.
  • The ability to partner with business leaders and provide advisory and challenge capacities.
  • Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating Technology risks.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex risk insights effectively.

As part of the Risk Management Group, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Macquarie's independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring, and reporting processes. The team is responsible for ensuring that material risks are properly managed across the organization.
