About the Role
In this exciting opportunity, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of data governance initiatives, including data literacy and data loss prevention programs. You will play a key role in managing data risks, particularly around data sharing and regulatory compliance.

Your Key Responsibilities
* Implement a comprehensive data governance strategy aligned with business and regulatory requirements
* Lead data catalog enhancements to improve data quality and accessibility
* Support Transgrid's data management initiatives to ensure effective data governance
* Drive efforts to improve data literacy across the organisation
* Manage data risks, particularly around data sharing and regulatory compliance

Requirements
* 4+ years of experience working in a data governance or data management role
* Expertise in data governance principles, data quality, and compliance
* Knowledge of data and information management in a governance context
* Proficiency with governance tools like Microsoft Purview and Fabric to maintain metadata management, data lineage, and governance workflows
* Ability to cultivate excellent professional working relationships with a diverse network of key people internally and externally
* Tertiary qualifications at degree level in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience
* Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to explain complex technical matters to stakeholders
