Job Title:

Metallurgical/Chemical Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-focused Metallurgical/Chemical Technician to fill this key position in our laboratory.

The selected candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks, including conducting analytical testing and metallurgical testing under the guidance of the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing samples for analysis, including handling, inventorying, crushing, blending, and pulverising.
  • Performing routine tests, analyses, and metallurgical testing using standard methods.
  • Collating test data for evaluation by supervisors and preparing basic reports.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Science, or Chemical Engineering is desirable but not essential.
  • Previous laboratory experience and training highly regarded, as well as factory or process skills.
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.
