Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer to lead the development and operation of managed relational data components in Kubernetes.

This role will focus on designing, implementing, and operating new and existing components to ensure reliability and effective cluster configuration management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Solutions: Develop and deploy solutions for managing high numbers of clusters to ensure optimal performance and resource allocation within a system.
  • Build Tooling and Automation: Create tooling and automation to facilitate provisioning and operation of increasing numbers of clusters.
  • Capacity Management: Develop an advanced understanding of capacity management to ensure optimal performance and resource allocation within a system.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Lead engagement with product teams to support and guide them as they onboard the service to the self-hosted platform.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in Kubernetes: Deep experience with building and operating stateful applications in Kubernetes with high load.
  • AWS Services: Experience with AWS services, including operating and tuning large clusters, capacity planning, and implementing backup and recovery mechanisms.
  • Quality Engineering: High standard for quality software engineering, including CI/CD, testing, logging, monitoring, SLAs, alerting, and runbooks.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work with remote teams.
