Job Overview

This role focuses on designing and implementing large-scale data platforms with a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a deep understanding of data components including Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Operate databases in Kubernetes and manage container images.
  • Develop infrastructure services to support a full DevOps model for engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Ensure the availability and security of critical business data.
Requirements
  • Configuration management using Chef
  • Scripting in Python and Bash
  • Experience with large-scale datastores using technologies like Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL
  • Experience with large-scale Linux environments
  • Experience operating within cloud environments preferably Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and OCI
  • Ability to work effectively with local and remote teams
  • Track record of making sound decisions particularly under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field such as Computer Science or Engineering
