Holistic Support Specialist

The Youth Health Worker will be responsible for engaging and supporting young pregnant and parenting people, and vulnerable youth affected by domestic and family violence (DFV), to access and navigate specialised primary health care services.
This position involves delivering 1:1 and group therapeutic interventions focused on the impacts of DFV and strengthening resilience through a trauma-informed, youth-centred approach.
Main Responsibilities
- Engage and support young pregnant and parenting people, and vulnerable youth affected by DFV
- Deliver 1:1 and group therapeutic interventions
- Coordinate and evaluate grant-funded programs and partnerships
- Participate in professional supervision and continuous learning
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Degree or equivalent qualification eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Proven experience supporting young pregnant and parenting people, especially those impacted by DFV, from diverse cultural backgrounds and experiencing complex needs
- Advanced communication and conflict management skills
- Skilled in providing trauma-informed, one-on-one and group therapeutic counselling and psychosocial support
