About the role
This specialist position offers the opportunity to work proactively with employees to support their injury recovery and manage claims in compliance with legal standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing early intervention support and management to injured employees, including care calls and return-to-work planning.
- Serving as an RTW Coordinator, managing a portfolio of injury cases and collaborating with workers, practitioners, and leaders to facilitate recovery and return-to-work planning.
- Managing submission of workers' compensation claims across NSW and QLD.
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and agreements regarding weekly workers' compensation payments in scheme states.
- Undertaking the role of reconsideration officer and claims delegate for NSW self-insurance.
- Providing expert guidance on workplace injury management and workers' compensation to senior leaders and managers.
About you
We are seeking a candidate with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health or equivalent experience.
- Experience in WHS and Injury Management/Rehabilitation roles in NSW/QLD, with a proven track record in delivering effective workplace injury performance results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and create positive working relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- High-level planning, time management, and prioritising skills.
- Demonstrated capability in coaching leaders and frontline workers to build knowledge and understanding of relevant health, safety, and wellbeing requirements.
- Willingsness to travel as required for operational needs and team development.
- NSW self-insurance experience preferred.
