Job Title: Project Manager – Client Side – Tertiary Education

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our successful team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects, excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage regulatory approvals and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Coordinate design teams and ensure timely completion of projects
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors and internal teams
  • Oversee health and safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel
  • Lead program management activities, including budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation
  • Administer contracts and ensure effective communication with clients and contractors
  • Supervise construction managers and ensure successful project delivery
  • Manage site variations and design changes, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines
  • Control costs and develop strategies to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Business development and growth opportunities

Requirements:

  • Degree qualification in Building, Construction Management, Project Management or similar field
  • A minimum of 3-7 years' experience in a client-side PM role, with head contractor experience highly regarded
  • Proven end-to-end project management skills from concept through to completion
  • Experience in program management, managing timelines and critical paths
  • End-to-end project management experience on various building projects is advantageous
  • Ability to manage multiple smaller projects or larger projects simultaneously
