Job Title:

Senior Infrastructure Specialist

Key Responsibilities

As a senior infrastructure specialist, you will be responsible for leading utility relocation designs and managing clashes between civil/structural designs.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary design teams to provide design and engineering solutions for various projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing utility relocation designs and resolving clashes between civil/structural designs;
  • Leading 3D modeling, coordination, and clash detection of utilities in appropriate software;
  • Collaborating with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design;
  • Providing technical advice and leadership to project team members;
  • Confirming relevant authority requirements, standards, and specifications for design scope;
  • Liaising with utility authorities to manage and coordinate approvals;
  • Assisting with sub-consultant management and specialist utility designer coordination;
  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance with project components, including drawings, reports, and specifications;
  • Guiding junior engineers in the utilities discipline area.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in engineering with extensive experience in utilities design;
  • Relevant post-graduate experience, including supervising aspects of a project;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing utility approval processes for major utility relocation and protection designs;
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills;
  • Experience working in multidiscipline design and/or project teams.
