About the Role

Alfred Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our Emergency Psychiatry team. As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and promoting recovery.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience. Previous work within an acute community mental health setting is highly regarded, and experience with drug and alcohol treatment is desirable.

The role involves working across four main areas – Crisis Assessment and Treatment, Triage, Emergency Psychiatry, and APACER. You will be a valued member of a supportive team, providing support across each stream depending on demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality care to individuals in need
  • Working across multiple areas, including Crisis Assessment and Treatment, Triage, Emergency Psychiatry, and APACER
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely and effective care
  • Providing professional development opportunities and regular supervision

Requirements

  • Approved tertiary qualifications and registration with a relevant registering body
  • Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience
  • Previous work within an acute community mental health setting is highly regarded
  • Experience with drug and alcohol treatment is desirable
