Job Title: Education Support Officer

Education Support Role Overview

This role involves supporting a teacher in developing and delivering targeted, intensive literacy and numeracy programs.

The successful candidate will work one-on-one and in small group support with students to aid their learning. They will contribute to Personalised Learning Plans (PLP) and collect evidence of student progress.

The Education Support Officer will also undertake administrative duties such as preparing resources and providing wellbeing support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing educational and wellbeing support to students
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of literacy and numeracy programs
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as resource preparation and data collection

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and working with young people.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Paid Blue Card
  • A Current Driver Licence
  • Previous experience in the youth sector, particularly with knowledge and understanding of local First Nations communities

Desirable skills include:

  • Understanding of and commitment to Catholic education values
  • High-level communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to diagnose problems and devise solutions
  • Capacity to work collaboratively across teams
