The Role

This role involves delivering specialist case management and clinical support to individuals and families impacted by Huntington's Disease.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care across different settings, provide education and therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with health professionals and support services to ensure holistic, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Demonstrate current knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in mental health services and/or Huntington's Disease Services, in line with legal and ethical requirements and the National Competency Standards for Registered Nurses.
  2. Show knowledge and understanding of the psychosocial and health needs of patients/clients and their families/carers, and apply this to nursing practice in the mental health services and/or Huntington's Disease Service setting, including maintaining appropriate therapeutic relationships.
  3. Demonstrate expertise in mental health nursing, including assertive case management, triage, holistic physical and mental health assessment, clinical risk management, and crisis intervention in the community setting.
