Key Responsibilities

  • Farm Management: Oversee the planning, organization, control, coordination, and performance of farming operations, ensuring efficient crop production and timely harvesting.
  • Crop Selection and Maintenance: Identify, select, and maintain the most suitable crops for planting, harvesting, and marketing, while maintaining farm buildings, fences, equipment, irrigation systems, dams, and pumping stations.
  • Pest Control and Farm Operations: Develop and implement strategies for pest control, fertilizing, cultivating, pruning, grafting, harvesting, sale, and transportation of crops, as well as oversee the collection, storage, grading, and packaging of produce.
  • Staff Management: Plan, organize, control, coordinate, perform, and be responsible for the overall management of the relevant farming unit/s, including staff selection and management.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need a level of skill commensurate with a relevant bachelor degree or higher qualification and at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification employment experience as a Mixed Crop Farmer OR at least five years of relevant mixed crop farming employment experience.
