A leading agricultural consulting firm, Agricultural Appointments, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Agronomist - Irrigation and Cropping Specialist to join their team in the Griffith/Hay/Hillston region of NSW.

About the Role
This exciting opportunity involves providing comprehensive agronomic advice to farmers, focusing on irrigated cotton and dryland cereals and pulses. The successful candidate will also have the chance to contribute to improved pasture-based grazing systems and develop skills in specialist areas. Responsibilities
- Provide whole-farm agronomic advice to clients
- Conduct field inspections and monitor crop health
- Develop and implement effective irrigation strategies for crops
- Collaborate with farmers to optimize crop yields and reduce environmental impact
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and advancements in agronomy

Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in an agricultural discipline (e.g., agronomy, agriculture, horticulture)
- At least 2 years' experience in providing agronomic advice to farmers
- Specific experience in cotton production and management
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
