Community Engagement Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the delivery of our community development strategy across Tasmania.

This role is central to how we engage with communities, build meaningful partnerships and create opportunities for economic and social participation.

About the Role

This position involves leading the implementation of our community development strategy, supporting staff in delivering impactful community engagement activities, building and maintaining strong partnerships with government, community organisations, research bodies and private sector stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community development programs that drive positive outcomes for local communities
  • Support staff in designing and delivering major projects and programs focused on community building, economic participation and social enterprise
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to advance our community development goals
  • Contribute to grant applications and tender submissions related to community development
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need around five years' experience in developing and implementing community development programs, strong project management experience, knowledge of the social enterprise sector and experience in the social or community housing industry.
