Job Detail

This position will be responsible for leading the implementation of a community development strategy across Tasmania.

  • Lead the delivery of community development projects and programs
  • Support staff in engaging with communities, building partnerships and creating opportunities for economic and social participation
  • Contribute to grant applications and tender submissions related to community development
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a community development strategy aligned with organizational objectives
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations and private sector partners
  • Design and deliver community engagement activities and events
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on community development initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community development programs
Requirements
  • 5 years' experience in community development or a related field
  • Strong project management skills, including design, development, implementation and coordination
  • Knowledge of community development principles and practices
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
