Job Title: Community Development Officer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Community Development Officer. This role plays a key part in enhancing our impact and advancing our vision. The successful applicant will contribute to the growth and success of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students by providing vital support for key programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the financial management of our programs, including accurate processing of transactions such as purchase orders, invoices, and travel arrangements.
- Provide efficient and effective administrative and project support for our Tutoring Program, Scholarships, Bursaries, and Community Programs.
- Maintain and enhance the organisation of records, student data, and program resources.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration with university staff, external stakeholders, and Aboriginal organisations.
- Deliver high-quality student and community-focused service by managing enquiries, referrals, and maintaining an inclusive and welcoming environment in our physical and digital spaces.
- Assist with creation and/or development of marketing and promotional strategies for us, ensuring consistent and engaging presence across all platforms, and manage promotional merchandise, webpage, and social media content.
Requirements:
- Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organised and efficient with excellent time management skills.
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
