At Community Housing Ltd, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Community Development Manager


About the role

We are looking for a professional to lead the delivery of our community development strategy across Tasmania.


Key responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of our community development strategy
  • Support staff in delivering impactful community engagement activities
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with government, community organisations, research bodies and private sector stakeholders
  • Design and deliver major projects and programs focused on community building, economic participation and social enterprise
  • Contribute to grant applications and tender submissions related to community development
  • Use your initiative to improve existing services and develop new, innovative programs

Requirements
  • Around five years' experience in developing and implementing community development programs
  • Strong project management experience - including design, development, implementation and coordination
  • Knowledge of the social enterprise sector
  • Experience in the social or community housing industry (highly regarded)
  • A proven ability to build strategic partnerships with external organisations
  • A deep commitment to the right of every person to quality housing and a sense of belonging
