Senior Systems Engineer Opportunity

A prominent financial institution is seeking a seasoned Senior Systems Engineer with expertise in Entra ID, Active Directory and Identity.

This is an initial 6-month contract with high potential for extension. As part of a large-scale Active Directory transformation program, you will be responsible for:

  • Estimating, designing, installing, configuring, integrating and implementing information technology system components.
  • Prioritizing rapid, automated and safe deployment of technical solutions.
  • Leading support and technical troubleshooting responsibilities for production systems.
  • Driving continuous improvement for the system and team processes.
  • Developing and executing PowerShell scripts to automate tasks, monitor system health, and enhance system performance.
  • Remediating performance issues across Entra ID, AD and related services in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Maintaining and improving the security posture of the AD environment by implementing best practices for authentication, access controls and auditing.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong on-prem AD engineering experience.
  • Azure Active Directory (AAD), Modern Authentication and Authorization protocols.
  • Entra ID experience.
  • PowerShell scripting experience for automation, troubleshooting and system optimization.
  • Good understanding of general IAM principles and the Microsoft Identity ecosystem.
  • Active Directory running in virtualized environments.
  • Security Best Practices: Knowledge of AD security best practices, including user authentication, identity management and access controls.
Desirable:
  • Experience with Github/deploying changes via code.
