About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Communications Specialist to join our team at Uniting. As a key player in delivering high-quality internal communications, you will be responsible for creating engaging content across various channels, including video content, newsletters, and our Share Point intranet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy to promote employee engagement and awareness of organizational initiatives.
  • Write, edit, and publish clear, concise content for our weekly digital newsletter, intranet, and Viva Engage.
  • Provide internal communications support for campaigns, events, and operational updates across different areas of Uniting.
  • Coordinate and promote employee webinars on topics such as benefits, workplace culture, and professional development.
  • Assist the Head of Organisational Communications with resources for key strategic projects.
  • Contribute to improving internal communication processes and services.
About You:
  • You have at least 5 years of internal communications experience and are an excellent communicator who knows how to simplify complex information.
  • You are organized, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
  • You have experience with Share Point and Microsoft applications, and Canva experience for video editing is a plus.
  • You possess excellent communication and customer service skills, making it easy to get along with others.
  • You have a gift for working collaboratively with a team while being confident flying solo.
  • You are skilled at navigating complex organizations and managing competing priorities.
  • You excel at problem-solving, negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution.
  • You have a strong understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and risk management practices.
