As a dedicated Disability Support Professional, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with physical and psychosocial disabilities.
">Key Responsibilities">- Provide companionship to socially isolated clients while fostering their independence and autonomy
- Support clients with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management
- Accompany participants on outings to increase social access and participation, promoting inclusivity and community engagement
- Consult with families, carers, and allied health teams to develop and implement personalized support plans
- Assist with client assessments, recovery plan development, and ongoing support to ensure optimal outcomes
- Certificate IV in Disability or a related field, with experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum, Intellectual Disability, and severe Mental Illness
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt approach to suit individual needs and preferences
- Qualifications and experience in Positive Behaviour Support, Incident Reporting, and Restrictive Practices
