Support Worker Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to participants, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Promote autonomy and self-sufficiency by encouraging and teaching life skills.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment where participants can thrive.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential participant records.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, their families, and the care team.
  • Respond to participants' unique needs and challenges with empathy and patience.

Requirements:

  • Certification III/IV in Disability or equivalent qualification.
  • NDIS Screening Check.
  • NDIS Induction Module.
  • NDIS Orientation Module.
  • Previous experience in a support worker role or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on others' lives.
  • Ability to adapt to various participant needs and preferences.
  • First Aid and CPR Certification.
