Job Description

As a dynamic and engaging professional, you will play a key role in managing UQ's School Outreach Program for students in Years 7-12.

  • Develop and implement outreach initiatives to foster strong relationships with schools, UQ faculties, and government stakeholders.

  • Coordinate and participate in the delivery of outreach activities, including on-campus experiences, workshops, and presentations, promoting academic excellence and career development.

  • Supervise Outreach Program Officers, providing guidance on workload management, performance appraisals, and staff development.

  • Oversee the administrative aspects of outreach activities, ensuring seamless communication, event planning, and budgeting processes.

  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on program outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evaluation mechanisms.

The position involves frequent travel to partnered high schools as well as UQ Gatton Campus based at St Lucia campus.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in event management and stakeholder engagement, particularly with young people.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.

  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the capacity to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet changing priorities.
