Children's Mental Health Therapist

This is a unique opportunity to join a dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team, where your work will directly contribute to better outcomes for young people and their families.

The position is based at Bankstown Community Health Centre and you'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on keeping children, young people (up to 18 years), and their families safe, helping them navigate complex mental health needs with compassion and expertise.

As a pool clinician, you will be filling a vacancy in the team listed; as other vacancies arise throughout our service, you may be required to transfer into another position and share your skills within our service.

You will be based at Bankstown, however future opportunities may also present at Ingleburn, Campbelltown, Ambarvale, Liverpool, Fairfield and Wollondilly based mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing therapeutic support to children and adolescents experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges.
  • Delivering comprehensive case management to ensure continuity of care.
  • Working closely with families, schools, NGOs, and other community services to create a supportive network around each young person.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • A current driver's license is mandatory.
