Responsibilities
  • Board-certified (or eligible) in General Surgery with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to established medical standards and protocols.
  • Mentor and supervise advanced practice providers, medical students, residents, and fellows to ensure seamless handovers and knowledge transfer.
  • Foster effective relationships with internal teams and external partners to promote collaboration and best practices.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and team-building skills to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals through excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements
  • Current licensure in good standing and certification in General Surgery.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including 10-24 hour shifts per month, as required by the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to navigate complex medical situations.
  • Prior experience in leadership or education roles is preferred but not required.
