Key Role Overview:

This is a challenging and dynamic role focusing on the administration and monitoring of track access agreements, ensuring legislative compliance and effective communication with external rail operators.

About This Position
  • Coordinate scheduled and special train path approvals, managing financial processes and advising stakeholders on contractual obligations.
  • Evaluate performance, manage risks and contribute to tariff development, costing principles and compliance audits in line with regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contract Administration: Oversee and monitor track access agreements, ensuring timely renewals and communicating changes to stakeholders.
  • Financial Management: Coordinate access-related financial processes, including invoicing, payments and reconciliation.
  • Communication: Build strong relationships with external rail operators, responding to queries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations and industry standards, providing recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Relevant technical diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of rail legislation relevant to the position's responsibilities, particularly as it relates to rollingstock track access and project administration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience of government contracting and procurement policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated administrative, accounting and financial management skills and experience.
  • Ability to effectively utilise various PC applications, geographical information systems and database applications.
