About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Markets Analyst to join our Commodities and Global Markets division in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing data-driven insights to support key decisions that have a real impact on the way we manage capital and liquidity positions for both the short and long term.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report the performance of derivative portfolios within the SIMM model.
  • Assist trading desks in quantifying Initial Margin and funding requirements for new trades.
  • Ensure new products are correctly implemented to meet model requirements.
  • Apply your understanding of market risk and credit risk principles to derivatives traded across our Commodities and Global Markets division.
  • Contribute to our team's value-add by providing accurate and insightful analysis, and sound advice.
Requirements
  • Degree in finance, engineering, science or related quantitative discipline(s).
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a financial institution or professional services firm.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An ability to manage a range of simultaneous tasks through to completion.
  • Numerical and analytical strengths, and an ability to grasp abstract concepts and complex situations.
  • Ability to apply regulatory standards and driving improvements in control frameworks.
  • Proficiency in data analytics.
